Ariz. bill would restrict home births using midwives

A bill in the Arizona Legislature would restrict the types of births licensed midwives could assist with at home. Midwife Marinah Farrell, president of the Midwives Alliance of North America, said more people are seeking home births nationwide but states are trying to limit access. "A planned home birth for low-risk women with a licensed, credentialed midwife is proving to be safe," she said.
