Omaha Public Power District needs to show that it can identify and address safety concerns at its Fort Calhoun nuclear energy facility in Nebraska, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The agency allowed the plant to restart in December after being shut down for three years. "We have a good handle on what we need to do and on our commitment going forward. We understand that our job isn't over. We want to continue on a path of sustained excellence," said OPPD spokesman Jeff Hanson.
