Philadelphia is latest city to get TSA PreCheck center

The Transportation Security Administration this week opened a new PreCheck application center in Philadelphia, giving passengers who pay $85 and submit to fingerprinting and background checks the chance to walk through an airport security line without removing shoes or undergoing patdowns. Tye Smart and Craig Connelly Sr., who live in northeast Philadelphia, were among the early visitors to the new enrollment center. Getting screened to avoid long security waits "is well worth it," Smart said.
