Taliban takes out mobile-phone tower in Afghanistan

The Taliban blew up a telecommunications tower in Afghanistan after wireless companies failed to give in to terrorist demands to turn off all towers at night. "When they destroy any tower, it shows direct enmity to the people of that area. I don't think the destruction of the towers has any direct effect on the government. It is the people who suffer," said Abdul Hadi Hadi, spokesman for the Telecommunications Ministry.
