US Airways CEO predicts industry downturn

US Airways CEO Doug Parker on Thursday said he expects soaring oil prices and a weaker economy to lead to a downturn. Parker also noted that any possible mergers must rationalize capacity, and he said a plan by Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines to merge puts too much pressure on the carriers' pilots.
