Facebook ratchets up ad placement, targets mobile news feeds

Facebook unveiled its mobile-advertising strategy Wednesday as part of an overall push in which the social networking site will make ads more visible across its entire platform. Mobile users will see ads on their timelines and news feeds as Facebook seeks to impress investors ahead of a planned public stock offering.
