New system may boost wound care in diabetes patients

Researchers at Systagenix have developed a new system called Woundcheck designed to test wounds for elevated protease activity, which has been linked to chronic, non-healing wounds. Early identification of these wounds could improve treatment and healing and lower the risk of amputation for patients with diabetes.
