Contractor defends reporting of problems on Chesapeake Bay Bridge project

In response to a state investigation of the flawed Chesapeake Bay Bridge concrete repaving project, Cianbro Corp. has provided detailed comments backing up its assertion that the firm followed the specifications of the Maryland Transportation Authority, the bridge's owner. The Pittsfield, Maine-based company says it told the authority repeatedly that instead of restoring the overlay bond, the specified matrix restorer was breaking the bond.
