Almost 1,800 West Virginia firms owe state for comp premiums

Nearly 1,800 West Virginia employers are delinquent in making payments to BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Co., and are at risk of being declared in default, according to the state's workers' compensation provider. Forty-three companies owe $10,000 or more, but the majority owe $1,000 or less, and 732 employers owe $100 or less, BrickStreet said.
