Retailers eye convenience format

Larger retailers, including Wal-Mart Stores and Tesco PLC, increasingly see future growth in the convenience format. Wal-Mart's Neighborhood Market stores target people looking for grab-and-go items, while Tesco is preparing to launch a convenience store format in the U.S. it says will follow its Express format, which offers a premium range of 7,000 items, including prepackaged meals.
