A few years ago, India's economy was booming and large companies from around the world were rushing to introduce Western-style shopping and tap the country's growing middle class. The "great Indian retail revolution", as it was hailed, has faced a number of challenges, however, including the economic slowdown and some over-ambitious expansion plans.
