Butching it up to bring in the bucks

David Arrick says he remembers being revolted by an article about cupcakes that were described as "pink and magical." Figuring there must be a market for cupcakes with a "masculine aesthetic," he scraped together $20,000 to launch Butch Bakery, which sells cupcakes that are soaked in kahlua, infused with beer or accented with bacon. The Food Network has come calling, and Arrick says he hopes to expand his online business to three new cities this year.
