California begins real estate sell-off

California has placed a $2 billion state-owned office portfolio on the market as part of its efforts to close its funding shortfall. California is looking to sell the 11-asset, 7.3 million square foot portfolio on a sale lease-back basis. The buildings' energy efficiency and green features are among the selling points.
