Obama considers nuclear future

U.S. President Barack Obama is considering a permanent reduction in the number of nuclear weapons maintained by the U.S. and circumstances in which the U.S. might deploy its nuclear arsenal. Obama has publicly called for the elimination of nuclear weapons around the world and is expected to cut thousands of weapons from existing U.S. stockpiles.
