President Barack Obama said Monday that he supports the decision to fire every teacher at a Rhode Island high school, leading American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten to say she was disappointed by the comments. Obama made the remarks while speaking about the country's high-school dropout rate at a meeting of America's Promise Alliance. "If a school continues to fail its students year after year after year, if it doesn't show signs of improvement, then there's got to be a sense of accountability," Obama said. Weingarten said Obama had "incomplete information."
