Seattle City Council clears way for $2B tunnel

The Seattle City Council voted Monday to overrule Mayor Mike McGinn's disapproval of the agreement to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct with a tunnel. Proponents of the tunnel say it could create thousands of jobs. Others are concerned that about $700 million needed for the tunnel has not yet been funded.
