Analysts warn of continued RIM struggles in Q1

Research In Motion will likely disappoint investors by falling short of predictions on its BlackBerry phone shipments this quarter, according to separate analyst notes, although the analysts apparently disagree on some of the details. Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu says the newer BlackBerry smartphones are holding up well in the marketplace but that sales of older models have slowed, citing supply chain sources. Jefferies analyst Peter Misek wrote to clients that consumers have turned away from RIM's newer models.
