La. board lacks $120M to finish a major levee system

The Terrebonne Levee Board in Louisiana says it needs $120 million to finish the Morganza-to-the-Gulf levee system. A task force will meet this month to help the board develop possible funding sources, such as a new sales tax. "We need to be very realistic about what we're facing here, and we need to think about whether we want to get this done in three years or 12 to 15 years," said Reggie Dupre, levee director.
