MGMA, HIMSS unveil HIE toolkit for physician practices

The Ambulatory Health Information Exchange Toolkit, which will help physician practices use and understand health information exchanges, has been unveiled by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society in partnership with the Medical Group Management Association and its standards-setting arm, the American College of Medical Practice Executives. The toolkit provides resources in critical areas, including leadership and governance, evaluation participation and technical architecture. "This web-based toolkit is specifically designed to capture the latest developments in HIEs and highlight any new and practical resources beneficial to physicians and their practices," says HIMSS CEO and President H. Stephen Lieber.
