Palliative care "complex and sophisticated," study shows

A review of 16 palliative care facilities in Europe, Argentina and New Zealand showed body care measures, attention to room environment and personalizing the living space were highly valued by patients, according to a report in PLoS Medicine. Study authors said that palliative care is multifaceted, complex and sophisticated and that it is important to "distinguish nuances in such caregiving to acknowledge, respect and further develop end-of-life care."
