Students in 21 countries celebrate World Book Day

World Book Day was celebrated last week by students in 21 countries. Some schools celebrated literacy by inviting students to dress as their favourite characters from books, as well as discuss books and the characters. Students worldwide also participated in an online book show that streamed live. A student at a school in London dressed as Hermione Grainger from the Harry Potter book series, said she enjoyed the opportunity to learn about books by authors from other countries.
