Nielsen won't partner with Arbitron for PPMs

Nielsen Media Research will not partner with Arbitron to commercialize Arbitron's Portable People Meter service. Nielsen had been providing cash and research support to the PPM project since 2000, but Nielsen's CEO said PPMs are not the right approach for "today's complex television markets."
