Teachers against policy of firing educators

Some Austin, Texas, teachers are asking school board members to consider changing a rule that requires some educators to be fired from schools that are shut down due to poor performance. The current policy also requires teachers to be fired from schools that are reorganized by the state, but teachers say the rule is unfair and will hurt efforts to draw teachers to some of the area's toughest schools.
