Good customer relations take more than friends and tweets

Many companies are counting Facebook and Twitter fans as a measure of their marketing success, but online marketer Tara Hunt warns those social-networking fan bases could provide a false outlook for sales if real-world experience doesn't make customers happy. Hiring someone to manage a Twitter account is not the same as doing something to reduce customer complaints and improve their satisfaction, Hunt notes.
