Low-fat, low-carbohydrate and Mediterranean diets all can help to reverse thickening of the artery walls that can lead to heart attack and stroke, Israeli researchers said. They found that even if weight loss is only moderate, sticking to the diets long-term can reverse atherosclerosis.
