Puppet show promotes acceptance of special needs

More than 30 years after its founding, The Kids on the Block puppet show continues to teach children the importance of disability awareness and acceptance. The puppets help create an atmosphere where it's easy for kids to ask questions, educators say. At Cottage Lake Elementary School in Washington state, a $500 Target grant helped secure the show, which focused on cerebral palsy, vision loss and sign language.
