Regulators keep eye on banks' sovereign-risk exposure

John Dugan, comptroller of the currency, said that in light of issues in Greece and elsewhere, regulators are monitoring the exposure of banks to sovereign-debt risk. "You can be sure that regulators are looking at this very closely," Dugan said. "When there's any issue like this that is newly emergent and presents new kinds of risk, there are steps that we take to assess and monitor what is going on."
