Fuel prices have climbed 267% since 2000, A4A says

Airlines are focusing on fuel efficiency as fuel prices continue to climb. According to a report from Airlines for America, fuel prices per gallon have increased 267% from 2000 to the second quarter of 2011. Fuel represents the biggest expense for airlines.
