Global Hawk isn't backed by head of House armed services panel

House Armed Services Committee Chairman Rep. Buck McKeon, R-Calif., says he won't push to keep the Global Hawk Block 30 program in place, even though the aircraft is made in his district. The Air Force sidelined the project in the defense budget for next year in favor of other aircraft. McKeon said he will push for more defense spending. "If there's any way to get more money, I will try to do that," he said this week.
