U.S. car sales reach highest level since February 2008

Last month, Americans bought the most vehicles since February 2008, despite rising gas prices. Automakers weren't offering additional incentives. Analysts attributed the growth to pent-up demand by consumers who were delaying purchase as well as optimism about the economic recovery.
