Federal court upholds Pledge of Allegiance ban

A panel of 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judges rejected a Bush administration request to rehear a case that says the words "under God" constitute a government endorsement of religion and therefore is not appropriate in public schools. The Justice Department has asked the Supreme Court to hear the case.
