A 13-year-old British student turned in an essay written entirely in the jargon used for text messaging on mobile phones, which has sparked a debate about literacy standards in the U.K. The stunned teacher said she could not translate much of the essay that included phrases such as "We used 2go2 NY 2C my bro" and "ILNY, it's a gr8 plc."
