Blogs are natural marketing tools

Search experts at this week's Search Engine Strategies Conference are touting the virtue of the blog as a marketing tool, because its static pages and easy linkability make it simple for search engines to find. Blogs also earn high placement values with search engines -- like Google -- that use link popularity as a determinant of relevancy. However, for companies that do not value a free flow of information, blogging might be a less ideal marketing method.
