Research: Short video clips may lead to more movie-ticket sales

Short-form video clips that could be viewed on MP3 players and cellular phones may help drive movie-ticket sales, according to a white paper from the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California and Parks Associates. "Rather than just sell digital content, offer free movie previews and clips as advertainment to encourage people to buy a theater ticket or talk about the movie," John Barrett, director of research at Parks Associates, said.
