Study identifies new risk variants for celiac disease

Researchers have found seven new risk variants for celiac disease but indicated more information is needed before the diagnostics can be used in a clinical environment. One researcher said the genetic information may eventually help doctors identify patients who will be unresponsive to gluten withdrawal or who can't tolerate oats.
