Colorado law boosts fees to pay for bridge, road repairs

A bill signed Monday by Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter will boost fees for rental cars and vehicle registration to raise about $250 million a year for road and bridge repairs. The new law also includes bond sales, and it gives local governments the freedom to toll existing roads. The funds will pay for repairs on 125 obsolete roads and bridges across the state.
