Traffic lights keep registration moving at children's hospital

Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio recently installed three traffic lights in the emergency department to help speed up visits and allow some patients to go immediately to a room upon arriving. "Patients are being seen faster and in the rooms quicker," ED nurse manager Nicole Johnson said, adding that even patients who must wait during busy times are having lab and radiology work done while they wait.
