Shift workers report IBS symptoms, AJG study shows

Workers with rotating shift schedules report bowel habits similar to those of people who have irritable bowel syndrome, according to a study in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. The study of 399 nurses found 48% on rotating shifts reported symptoms of IBS, along with 40% of those working straight nights and 31% of those working days.
