Social-media spy software in the works

The company that allegedly helped the National Security Agency wiretap AT&T customers is developing spy software targeting social networks. The program, codenamed Hone, will help intelligence and law-enforcement officials by trawling through the vast amounts of data available on social platforms, e-mail systems and even VoIP phone networks, and make connections between users' various online identities and social postings.
