U.K. group criticizes SEC approach to global accounting standards

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales criticized the Securities and Exchange Commission's long-term approach to adopting global accounting standards. Waiting until next year to decide does not offer "much-needed certainty required by U.S. companies and the many jurisdictions still deciding whether to move to International Financial Reporting Standards," said Martin Hagen, president of the organization.
