Navy sets sail for sustainability

The Navy is working to meet its clean-energy targets, says Navy Secretary Ray Mabus. The service's "Great Green Fleet" initiative aims to make half of the Navy's bases use zero net energy and to convert half of its ships to run on sustainable fuels by 2020. "Every time we make changes to improve the efficiencies of our engines or systems or we use alternative sources of power, we get better and we make people safer," Mabus said.
