John Kerry lets his inner linguist come out

Former U.S. Sen. John Kerry now leads the State Department, and in his first trip to Europe in that role, he showed off multilingual speaking skills to his European hosts. As a former presidential candidate, Kerry, whose father was a foreign service officer, often dodged criticism for looking like too much of an internationalist. Last week, however, Kerry talked to world leaders in French, German and Italian.
