Allstate will be "presenting sponsor" of CNN series "Chicagoland"

CNN for its eight-part "Chicagoland" docu-series is testing out native advertising by having Allstate act as a "presenting sponsor." Tom Wilson, Allstate's chairman, president and CEO, will be discuss the program in a short promotional video during the first ad break, but the insurance giant has no control over the show's content. "We aren't looking at commercials. We are looking at being in the fabric of this program," said Karen Uhler, director of marketing at Allstate.
