Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act clears House

The House has passed legislation sponsored by Reps. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Gerry Connolly, D-Va., that would give one person authority over each federal agency's IT spending and require the government to publicly post performance metrics on IT projects. The bill sponsors say the legislation is aimed at correcting cost overruns and project failures in IT contracting.
