RN says dialysis center job offers advancement options

Registered nurse Cheryl Barton transitioned from a job in a hospital ICU to one in a dialysis center, where she says the most rewarding part is training patients how to take care of themselves at home. Working at a dialysis center gives nurses the option of moving up to a position of charge nurse or facility administrator or going into patient training for home dialysis, Barton said.
