Crowne Plaza-Phoenix sold, set for renovation

The Crowne Plaza-Phoenix has been sold to Scottsdale-based Everest Holdings for $5.75 million. Everest purchased the 250-room full-service hotel from Arlington, Va.-based Meristar Hospitality and plans a substantial renovation of the hotel in 2004, with a focus on targeting meetings and business travelers.
