Montana expects $200M from stimulus package to fund highway work

Montana lawmakers recently scrutinized the $800 million the state expects to receive from the federal economic-stimulus package. Lawmakers attending a hearing by the state Senate Finance Committee also learned that existing formulas would determine how the state allocated most of the funds. About $200 million will fund highway projects, according to Jim Lynch, director of the Montana Department of Transportation.
