MRSA infections in children reportedly increasing

The CDC, doctors and researchers are reporting an increase in the number of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections in children. Dr. Martin Belson, a pediatric emergency room physician with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, says the increase is alarming and might be related to increased resistance to antibiotics and improved awareness that is leading doctors to test for MRSA more often.
