Broad licensing disproves antitrust claims, Monsanto CEO says

Monsanto's practice of licensing its biotech seeds to hundreds of competitors since the mid-1980s rather than keeping the technology to itself will exonerate the company of any claims of unfair business practices, CEO Hugh Grant said. The Justice Department and the USDA will hear Grant's argument when the agencies discuss seed-industry competition at a workshop in Iowa next week.
