Dow unit to spend $340M on research expansion in Indianapolis

Dow AgroSciences, a Dow Chemical unit, said it plans to set up in Indianapolis a greenhouse this year and a research facility in 2012 as part of its $340 million expansion plan. The company said it also plans to employ about 580 workers over the next five years. The firm is ramping up its research-and-development efforts to satisfy the demand for food worldwide, said Antonio Galindez, Dow AgroSciences' president and CEO.
